The Bismark Tribune: Businesses promoting oil pipeline

Several North Dakota businesses have joined an initiative by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce to promote the Keystone XL Pipeline.

The national chamber announced the Partnership to Fuel America effort in Bismarck on Tuesday, saying that the proposed pipeline would bring jobs to North Dakota and support North American energy development. The $7 billion project would carry Canadian crude oil to the Gulf of Mexico.

Supporters of the initiative include the North Dakota and Bismarck-Mandan Chambers of Commerce, the Bismarck-Mandan Development Association, the North Dakota Petroleum Council, energy services companies and groups representing retailers, the lodging industry and several other firms.
