Clean Air Act rule could cost U.S. billions

Byers flew in to Casper from Washington, D.C. May 19 and 20 to take part in Wyoming Business Report’s 2014 Energy Summit to talk about the costs of upcoming carbon-control regulations. However, with slightly different timing he would have had a lot more figures to share.
 
“We can say with confidence it will be the costliest rule in EPA history,” Byers said in a pre-Energy Summit interview while in Casper. Now, his organization has applied some educated guesswork as to the contents of the not-yet released rule that was announced June 2 by Obama himself as this was going to press.
