• Power company chiefs absent in climate plan push

When the White House plunged into climate change a few years ago, a small collection of utility brass covered President Barack Obama’s industry flank.

“It’s largely directed at this industry, therefore, they are going to be very concerned,” said Christopher Guith, vice president for policy at the Chamber of Commerce’s Institute for 21st Century Energy. “They are going to be as active as possible in influencing the rulemaking process and, ultimately, many of them challenging it in court.”
