Electro Technology Expo in Rapid City targets EPA rules: Keynote speaker claims EPA has unrealistic expectations

South Dakota electricity users are directly in the line of fire in the EPA's war on carbon emissions. That was the message today from the Senior Director for Policy at the Institute for 21st Century Energy.
 
Heath Knakmuhs told attendees of the 15th annual Electro Technology Expo that the EPA's redesign of the electric system is unrealistic.

"Electricity is used by everyone, every day, every minute of every day in some instances. And for someone to come in and say that we're going to charge double for that and it's not going to be as reliable as it is today, it's very invasive in our lives – and will have a very negative impact on the American economy," Knakmuhs said.
